Unforgettable Chicken Casserole


This recipe comes from one of my many Southern Living Cookbooks and it is divine. 


3 cups deli roasted chicken
2 cups finely chopped celery
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayo
1 can cream of chicken soup
4 oz. water chestnuts, chopped and drained
french fried onion rings

Stir together first 8 ingredients in a large bowl. Spoon into a lightly greased 11X7 pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with onion rings and bake 5 minutes more. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
