Oops

Silly me...I never knew I could set up my blog to email me when someone left me a comment.  I was just browsing some of my settings and found comments that I had not seen before.  I know not many folks read  my silly little blog, but if you do and I have not responded to a question I am terribly sorry.  I will try to be a better blogger   :)

Tonight I was checking blogs and when I read Sarah at www.memoriesoncloverlane.blogspot.com she really spoke to me (as she usually does).  She is watching movies while walking on the treadmill.  Why didn't I think of that.  No wonder I can't get motivated to get on that darn thing- I get bored would rather blog.  This eating and blogging thing has about gotten the best of my waistline.  I must get walking again - SOON!!  I have a fundraiser type walk coming up in several weeks and I really want to do a 5K this year if I can get my brain and body to both be on the same page for more time than it takes to write this post.  My problem is that I have great intentions, and then I get lazy and don't follow through like I did when I was young.  My body needs it now more that ever and I let it down day after day.  Hopefully writing this post will help.

Groceries

Do you ever have those times when you cabinets, fridge and freezer are full, but you are lacking ONE thing to make anything you can think of?????  That is my week!  I put off going to the store this weekend and this week my hodgepodge of ingredients are making it impossible for me to plan meals.  I knew better, but I let it happen anyway- lesson learned...again.

A love story

I recently picked up the Pioneer Woman's book on a shopping trip to Sams.  Naturally I left in my cart by mistake because it was the smallest thing in my purchase- ha.  I called the store and a nice person had turned it in so I went back to get it the next day.  I started reading it and read about 150 pages before I would put it down.  Ree is one of the reasons I was hooked on blogging early on and this book felt like I was reading about a dear friend.  If you follow her blog I would recommend this as a great little book.  If you don't read her blog please check it out soon.

Boo Hoo

One of my favorite blogs went private.  I am sure she had her reasons, but I was sad to see it happen. Its funny how we bloggers enjoy taking part in each others day and yet most of the time never know the people on the other side.  I don't know about you, but I really enjoy my blogging time and getting to know others as I hope they enjoy their time with me.  I try to be careful and not put information out for the whole world to see because there are some bad people out there, but I hate to see one of my virtual friends vanish. Poof!  It makes me think of when children play with "imaginary" friends...ha.  Moms just like connecting with other moms to make sure we are doing the best by our families and it keeps reassuring us that we are normal and just like everybody else.  I think it is a healthy way to stay grounded so I will keep doing this because I get enjoyment from it. I think the overwhelming majority of bloggers feel the same way.  Anyway that is my two cents. I hope anyone who reads my blogs feels better after visiting!
